China Power Plant Emissions Monitoring and Control Technologies Orientation Visit

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) sponsored an Orientation Visit (OV) to the U.S. for a delegation of government officials from China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), Regional Environmental Monitoring Centers and the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC). The purpose of the OV was to support China’s increased efforts to improve the environment by addressing the technological needs for China to improve its capacity to monitor and control effectively harmful emissions from coal-fired power plants. The OV promoted U.S. exports by showcasing U.S. technology and service providers in power sector emissions monitoring and control technologies and complementing additional anticipated activities to be supported by USTDA and other U.S. government agencies under the Administration’s Asia-Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate (APPCDC) initiative.
